With Plastic Cover - This type of cartridge requires cutting of plastic to remove the old CRUM chip and install the new one (See the photos below).  This cover helps cover up what would otherwise be a rather ugly area of missing plastic.  You will need glue to stick the cover in place (silicon glue works good for this purpose but other choices will work too).

First cut the old CRUM chip out of its plastic surround using a dremel or similar cutoff tool:
